The largest public gathering of centrist Democrats, WelcomeFest is a showcase for the array of leaders and organizations cultivating a partisan centrist vision on the left. We created WelcomeFest because we believe it's important to annually explore the key questions facing the centrist faction of the Democratic Party, provide a place for connection, and elevate the experts and practitioners on the frontlines to spark deeper conversations and action.

Launched August 2021

Since 2022, WelcomePAC has worked to perfect a formula for how Democrats can take on and beat MAGA incumbents in districts that the party’s formal machinery overlooks. WelcomePAC allies come from across the political spectrum and from a variety of geographies and partisan backgrounds. We share a commitment to protecting our democracy and building a big-tent Democratic Party that wins.

Research

The Welcome Democracy Institute works to strengthen American democracy by encouraging pragmatic political leadership, solutions-oriented leadership and independent political participation through research, convenings, strategic communication and voter engagement. We release quarterly “Congressional Competitiveness” reports highlighting the most competitive House races in the country.
