FORMER CO-03 DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER ADAM FRISCH JOINS WELCOME TEAM
WelcomePAC, which works to elect moderate Democrats in conservative-leaning congressional districts, announced today former CO-03 Democratic nominee Adam Frisch has joined its team as Director of Electoral Programs and Finance Chair. In the 2024 election cycle, Adam over-performed Kamala Harris by 5 points. In the 2022 cycle, Frisch had the surprise of the cycle in nearly defeating Rep. Lauren Boebert, losing by only 546 votes.
"I am honored to be joining the Welcome Team. Their focus on building the required centrist faction in the Democratic party is exactly what our country needs. As a former over-performing congressional candidate in a red district, I know Welcome understands how to support candidates in tough races. I couldn't be more excited for this crucial work,” said Frisch.
Lauren Harper Pope, co-founder of Welcome, said, “Adam has been one of the best models for the future of the Democratic Party, and we’re thrilled he’s part of our team. Adam will reframe the narrative of who Democrats are in 2025 and in cycles to come, helping us show voters we’re on Team Normal with them.”
Frisch recently published "Tales from the DNC" via WelcomeStack. In it he noted:
"Needless to say, my 77,000 miles talking with voters in Western and Southern Colorado didn’t translate inside the Beltway. I wasn’t elected Vice Chair of the DNC. But after running two very different races, I understand the distance between the persuadable Trump voter and the DNC member. It is vast, but bridging that gap is the work before us.
In the meantime, it’s time to build our team of insurgent outsiders who lead by example and are ready to show the DNC how to build the kind of winning pragmatic coalition that can deliver results in the next election."

ABOUT WELCOMEPAC:
WelcomePAC launched in November 2021 to build a “Justice Democrats for the Center" by recruiting and backing brand-differentiated Democratic challengers with the capacity to defeat democracy-undermining GOP incumbents on their home turf. WelcomePAC identifies districts where voters are not given an alternative - where Democrats are "Conceding Democracy" by not supporting credibly-funded challengers. By elevating candidates and messengers who appeal to swing voters in center-right districts, WelcomePAC has supported nearly a dozen of the most over-performing Democratic challengers.
In 2022, Welcome invested more than $2 million in targeted geographies in its inaugural cycle informed by our perspective on the inefficiency of the Democratic marketplace and the ballooning value of each Congressional seat. These were the districts where Nate Silver gave Democrats just a 2% to 5% chance of winning: CA-41 and CO-03.
In 2024, WelcomePAC invested more than $8 million supporting a slate of nine pragmatic Democrats in conservative-leaning congressional districts across the country, including the three Blue Dog caucus co-chairs. All of Welcome’s slate over-performed Kamala Harris by an average of 6 points.
Analysis and perspective can be found in The Bulwark (continued electoral importance of Never Trumper voters), The New York Times (missed opportunities in the 2022 cycle), and The Washington Post (split ticket voters).
Welcome showcases its over-performers and Democratic elected officials who improve the brand identity at its inaugural public gathering, WelcomeFest. WelcomeFest 2025 will be June 4 in Washington, DC.
